Kid's Zone
McDonald's charities funded this fantastic project. At the hospital in La Crosse, there is a ward for children so ill or their treatment so severe that they cannot leave the hospital to have some fun. The Kid's Zone is a large room with a park setting (shown in the images below) but also has faux buildings built in that are a movie theatre (with large screen TV), cyber cafe and arcade. If one had to be stuck inside, this was a great substitute.

The mural was a fun blend of 3D and flat and painted with the assistance of Dale Knaak.
